Systematic has opened a development centre in the Romanian capital Bucharest. The overall goal is to start delivering full-scale projects from Romania and thus increase the business in the long term. The first step towards that goal is to increase the number of employees in Romania, which entails 100 programmers within a year:
“We are having great success in all of our five business units, and we are constantly taking in new projects. In order for us to keep up with the demand and deliver, we have to scale with skilled developers. The first milestone here in Romania is 100 developers, which we hope to be able to find within a year,” General Manager Tue Baadsgaard Lassen says to Romania-Insider.com.
Furthermore, Tue Baadsgaard Lassen states that Systematic currently works on parts of projects outside the Danish border. With the establishment of the development centre, the strategy is to place all aspects of a project in Bucharest – for instance roles as project managers, architects, user experience designers and so on – which will increase the opportunity of taking in more orders and projects in the future.
The development centre currently counts 40 employees who work on four different projects. Three of the projects work for Defence and deliver solutions to NATO, whereas the forth project focuses on the Danish school system.
