Systematic receives Gazelle Award from Danish business newspaper Børsen – for the fourth time

Consistent growth is why Systematic has been recognized as a “gazelle” company in 2019.

Press release08 November 2018

The Danish IT company Systematic has once again received a Børsen Gazelle Award. These prestigious awards are given to the fastest growing companies in Denmark – companies that have consistently achieved positive growth over the past four financial years and have doubled either revenue or gross profit during that period.

“We are very proud of this honour, which reflects the stable growth we have experienced in recent years, where our turnover has grown 22.5% on average per year for the last four years. We’re now a big company, so it’s not necessarily easy to comply with the criteria for receiving a Gazelle Award. So it’s an even greater pleasure to have had it bestowed on us this fourth time,” says CEO Michael Holm. Systematic also received a Gazelle Award in 2004, 1999 and 1998.

Systematic delivers IT solutions to organisations in both the private and public sectors, and has achieved a specially distinctive position in IT solutions for defence and healthcare. In Denmark, Systematic is responsible for major projects that include the electronic health record system used in Region Midtjylland (Central Denmark Region) – which Region Syddanmark (Region of Southern Denmark) also selected earlier this year.

“Our growth is obviously due to a steadily increasing interest in such IT systems, both from Denmark and abroad. More and more organisations have begun to realise what digitalisation can mean for each organisation as well as each user. We have been able to deliver the specialist IT know-how that is needed to make this happen,“ explains Michael Holm, continuing:

“At the same time, we have been focusing on maintaining a stable, profitable business in the long term in order to ensure that we remain a strong company, for the benefit of Systematic customers and employees alike. We have never received any outside capital, and have never had a bank loan or anything like that. We work with and invest only with money we have earned. That focus is certainly also part of the reason we have again received a Gazelle Award today.”

In August 2018, Systematic reached the magic round number of 1,000 employees. The company will be presenting its recently completed 2017–2018 financial statements in December.
