Optimised ‘transfer of control’ procedures
Adhering to regulations is crucial to maintaining safety offshore. The ‘transfer of control’ procedure, as specified in the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), can be implemented by presenting the current status on map layers in your SITE software.
An efficient control room needs to have complete situational awareness at all times. With SITE, the ability to monitor and manage operations become easier, enabling your control room to take swift and well-informed action when needed.
SITE transfer of control
Example of user interface for transfer of control procedure.
When Authorised Technicians (AT) request transfer of control from the Operational Controller (OC), the OC works with the SITE map layer dedicated to this particular purpose. The OC simply clicks the turbine where the AT is currently present, which automatically opens a dialog window where he/she can log the transfer. All ‘transfer of control‘ operations are logged and can be retrieved, should the need arise.
Your 'Permit to Work' and 'Authorised Work' procedure references can be made available in the user interface where transfer of control and people tracking information is presented. No more need for the operations controller to use multiple IT systems to execute these procedures.

The SITE modular software suite provides reliable real-time situational overview so that decision-makers and coordinators know the exact location and status of people, cargo and vessels at any given time and can track exactly what's going on, in order to make faster, better-informed decisions.
