It's a matter of perspective: When your C2 system has more data than you can digest
Unfortunately, the ability to gather, process, and share information from the battlefield can be a severe challenge due to the human cognitive limitations. This blog post discusses how you can handle the excessive flow of information at HQ level to facilitate the commander’s ability to exert command and control of deployed forces.

Filter and organise your C2 data in views that make sense
The key to effectively managing information overload is to summarise and filter relevant information in a flexible and dynamic manner providing an overview that is relevant, timely and maintainable. The "Pictures" and "Bookmarks" concepts in SitaWare Headquarters deliver this capability in a user friendly and efficient manner.
Use Pictures to organise available information
The "Pictures" concept in SitaWare Headquarters introduces the ability to create a number of logical and individual views of the available information, rather than exposing the entire complexity of it to all military operators. Pictures make it possible to establish a view of layers and groupings of interest, according to a certain task and role. These pictures can easily be shared across the organisation in order to provide a Common Operational Picture (COP).
Use Bookmarks to go straight to your pre-set views
The "Bookmark" concept in SitaWare Headquarters makes it possible to produce a focused view for a briefing, or an anchor to a visualisation of an ongoing event. A bookmark captures a snap shot of the map, zoom level, dim level, activation and visibility of multiple situation layers, pictures or plan layers - instantly.
Support the planning and execution phase of operations
By using Pictures and Bookmarks, you will be able to quickly and efficiently filter vast amounts of data and information and display them in a coherent fashion in the support of planning and execution of operations.
Furthermore, for the commander, Pictures and Bookmarks will facilitate and support the establishment of Situational Awareness.
Let Systematic support victory on the battlefield.
