Fight as you train and train as you fight

Systematic has, in collaboration with IFAD, developed the integrated simulation system C2 Simulation Gateway for the Danish Army, providing a realistic training environment for our troops. The system encompasses all units in a typical military operation and enhances and embeds improved interoperability awareness for participating troops.

A more integrated simulation system

There is no doubt that the gap between simulation and reality will be much smaller for Danish soldiers in future. This is due in no small part to the new simulation system based on C2 Simulation Gateway (C2 Sim GW), developed by Systematic in partnership with IFAD for the Danish Army.
Integrating the SitaWare C2 Suite into simulation systems gives troops an opportunity to perform their C2 training in a much more realistic environment. The C2 Simulation Gateway bridges the simulator with the C2 system to enable users to react to events from the simulator using the C2 system that they would use in actual combat. In this way, instructors and their troops are able to perform exercises using much more realistic events and data.

Preparing troops and saving lives

By integrating SitaWare with the simulation system, the troops get a better grasp of how their tools will be used in an actual operation when interacting with other users so they are better prepared for real operations. Thus the information exchange process is smoother and more effective across military units, and gives troops a more life-like learning experience.
SitaWare is a scalable battle management and C2 information system that connects the different units of a military operation with each other as well as with their headquarters. The system provides every unit with the same information through cameras, radars, sensors and information systems, increasing the level of collaboration and securing a more uniform communication environment.
This high quality solution gives the Danish Army a modern, innovative training system, which is applicable to other national defences and organisations with similar systems.
