    Change project yields financial savings and increased job satisfaction

    The change project at ATP has made use of Systematic’s experience of process optimisation and CMMI, resulting in savings and greater employee satisfaction.

    As an ATP employee, your most distinguished task is earning the trust of Danes, as ATP is Denmark’s biggest pension and processing company, disbursing approx. DKK 220 billion a year. The aim is therefore to ensure the best possible performance, whether it involves establishing and upgrading infrastructure or IT security. It was thus very frustrating that implementing internal IT projects presented such a challenge, because project managers were finding it difficult to stay within budget and deliver on time to the desired quality. In addition to the financial implications, it also impacted job satisfaction.

    Towards a more mature process organisation

    Against this background, Systematic helped to launch a change project aimed at rectifying finances, quality and, not least, job satisfaction so that the organisation was able to develop into a mature process organisation. At Systematic, we possess considerable experience with the process and behavioural model Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), which paved the way to success. We submitted a report to the organisation outlining various recommended focus areas, while one of our consultants was always available so the organisation could implement the recommended measures in the best possible way.

    Success – financially and culturally

    The change project proved extremely valuable given that the working processes were significantly improved. Financial savings of 25-35% were achieved as well as greater predictability, which made it easier to act proactively. While the improvements in efficiency and finances were necessary, the learning culture and higher levels of job satisfaction were an added bonus.
