New order system for porters creates more time for care at Rigshospitalet, Denmark

Fagbladet FOA has interviewed Michael Jensen, Porter at Rigshospitalet, about the positive influence Columna Service Logistics has had on his work at the hospital and with patients.

An article in Fagbladet FOA (special magazine) brings focus to Systematic’s solution Columna Service Logistics, which digitises the process of ordering hospital porter tasks. Michael Jensen, porter at Rigshospitalet, explains how the new system allows him to be more present when he is with patients and gives him a better overview of which kinds of tasks are available, and where they are located. This limits the amount of empty and wasteful trips that Michael would otherwise take around the hospital.

“When we coordinated tasks over the radio, I sometimes forgot half of what we agreed on. The new system remembers for me. This increases patient safety and frees up more time for patient care,” Michael Jensen explains in the article.
