Focus on climate creates new opportunities for Systematic
Danish newspaper JP Aarhus recently published an article on how climate change will create new markets for local companies. As a developer of software and system solutions, Systematic is one of the companies pioneering such markets, due to rising interest in sustainable energy and security in energy and utility supply.
In this article, Group Senior Vice President Flemming Thomsen at Systematic explains how the company developed SITE in 2016 – a software solution used to efficiently and safely coordinate work in and around offshore wind farms. SITE has been sold to Vattenfall and Ørsted – two of the world’s largest off-shore wind farm operators.
In an effort to help reduce water scarcity and secure water supplies, Systematic has joined the Danish Water Cluster – a national initiative for the development of Danish water technology – and is currently collaborating with other companies and water utilities on projects aimed at tackling the challenges of the water sector. One such project uses big data to predict and identify new and future pipeline ruptures.
“In the coming year, we will spend even more resources on innovation and development in the areas we are engaged in”, says Flemming Thomsen.
