Better and faster service to citizens, easier workflows for employees - and savings on the bottom line. That is what the citizens and employees in the municipality of Copenhagen can look forward to when they implement Systematic's IT solution, Cura Housing, in 2017.
Cura Housing is an expansion of the electronic citizen record Cura, which is being rolled out in the health and home care departments in the municipalities of Aarhus and Copenhagen. With the expansion, Copenhagen's social service department now benefits from the expertise that Systematic offers within user-friendly logistics solutions, says Henrik Rosenberg Rasmussen, Senior Account Manager at Systematic.
”Our outmost goal is to deliver solutions that in the end benefit citizens - and we look forward to contributing to the social sector with our expertise and experience. Cura Housing is going to be a new good colleague in the administration and we look forward to being a part of making the housing administration processes more efficient and user-friendly to both employees and citizens”, says Henrik Rosenberg Rasmussen.

Cura Housing provides the employees with an overview of citizens and housing facilities. The system also matches citizens with available housing facilities, thereby dramatically decreasing the amount of manual work tasks. This way, the system helps the employees by taking care of the pressure there is on the housing market, while it also makes better use of the available housing facilities.
Automated workflows
As an example, Cura Housing automatically matches citizens, who have trouble walking, with housing facilities close to shops. In the same fashion, the system provides employees with a quick overview of available temporary housing facilities for elderly and handicapped citizens.
"The solution also includes a map function, which looks somewhat like Google Maps. On the computer screen is a map that shows both the available housing facilities and the address of the citizens applying for such facilities. With the system, it becomes much easier for the employees to quickly and easily find the most suitable housing facilities in an area, where the citizen wishes to live", explains Henrik Rosenberg Rasmussen.
In the municipality of Copenhagen, they are looking forward to start using the new system, says Head of Digitisation Mette Harbo: ”We have chosen the solution from Systematic, because we have a general need for more efficiency in the housing administration. With their solution, we see completely new opportunities for better workflows and overviews, which means we will be able to offer our citizens a safer and more flexible case process handling. At the same time, we make greater use of our resources and we decrease the pressure of the workload. With Cura Housing we get a forward-looking solution to the benefit of citizens and employees”.
