Information integration and exchange

Systematic is supplying a platform to the Danish National Police for integration with the Schengen Information System.

In 2023, the Schengen Information System CS-SIS is being updated to a new version, SIS Recast. In 2008, Systematic supplied the SIRENE SIS client to the Danish Police. Now, a client is being delivered which can communicate with the new interface while at the same time ensuring that data is migrated from the existing system.

The new system is updated with integrations to new interfaces, and the new version comprises existing interfaces – and the development is based on Systematic’s integration platform.

Information across borders

The Danish Police is participating as part of the Schengen Agreement in the European police collaboration, including the Schengen Information System.

SIRENE gives the Danish Police access to locally created information and also access to the shared SIS information and communication system. SIRENE supports the working processes associated with the Schengen Agreement, so that Denmark can participate fully in protecting the EU’s shared borders. SIRENE communicates with the central SIS servers and local systems in the other countries in the Schengen Area through secure messages.

Technology updates and business support

As part of the centralised update of SIS to SIS Recast, Systematic has delivered a new SIRENE3 app with secure user support, more automated support of processes, more comprehensive business support, new types of arrest warrants and XML communication.
