Press release13 April 2016

IST Denmark (the company behind Tabulex) and Systematic A/S will now be joining forces in a collaborative effort to identify opportunities for working together to strengthen the companies’ products and services for Danish public schools.

“IST is known as a capacity in this field, and as a company with solid experience in software products and services for schools. This experience can strengthen our product range in this specialist field, while we in turn have knowledge and skills that can help strengthen IST in its particular field,” explains Martin Brøchner-Mortensen, Vice President, Library & Learning at Systematic.

Systematic, the supplier of the new Joint Library System now being implemented in 94 municipalities in Denmark, is also the supplier behind the new MoMo learning platform developed to meet the requirements of Kommunernes Landsforening (Local Government Denmark) – the interest group and authority representing all Danish municipalities.

IST, on the other hand, is the company behind the Tabulex range of software products for administration, now in use in 86 Danish municipalities.

“The collaboration between the two companies is particularly intended to establish how our products can be used together in an efficient and cost-effective way for municipalities and their users in schools,” explains Martin Brøchner-Mortensen.

“The two companies will also work together in order to make it easier for Danish municipalities to purchase the MoMo platform via the Danish SKI public sector procurement framework, to which IST is connected,” he continues.

Via this cooperation, Systematic and IST Denmark will also identify perspectives for working together to bid on the upcoming Danish collaboration platform, which is expected to be put out to tender in the summer of 2016.

“We have more than 30 years of experience with products and services for schools and educational institutions. IST is founded on the vision that every day we are helping to build the school of tomorrow and a future in which we can all learn more. This requires us to be at the forefront of knowledge and development. That’s why we look forward to collaborating with Systematic,” says Stig Korgaard, managing director of IST Denmark.

“Systematic and its operations are based on innovation, and innovation is not only what is going on in terms of actual product development. Innovation also involves challenging and exploring areas in which there can be as-yet unidentified new growth opportunities. We look forward to seeing how we can work with IST to create even more value for our customers,” says Martin Brøchner-Mortensen.
