Working with the in-house school at the Holmstrupgård unit, Systematic is now launching a pilot project in which the focal point will be the MoMo learning platform.
“We are investing in this cooperative setup because we want to try out the MoMo learning platform in an environment that places exceptional demands on this system. The students and teachers at Holmstrupgård have a series of special needs and requirements, which we hope MoMo will be able to help support,” says Inger Surrow, Senior Product Manager at Systematic.
Well-being in focus
Holmstrupgård is a school for students with special needs, and it is therefore important for teachers to have a learning platform that can support the students’ well-being – one of the fundamental values on which the school’s activities are based.
The project will give the Holmstrupgård school an opportunity to articulate some of the particular needs they have, and thus contribute to the further development of MoMo.
These special requirements include the need to assess the students on a basis other than mere numbers.

“If we are to support and encourage our students’ well-being by using this learning platform, it is going to have to be able to accommodate some specific functionalities, such as a little more soft prose and not only hard numbers. We’d like there to be good graphics, an intuitive user interface and the ability to tailor reports directly to different social workers throughout Denmark,” explains Ronny Buelund, one of the teachers at Holmstrupgård.
Systematic has extensive experience in dealing with confidential information for public-sector customers, and is keen to listen to the wishes expressed at Holmstrupgård.
“There is no doubt that when Holmstrupgård starts using MoMo the knowledge and experience they get with the system will help make our solution even better, and it’s the kind of input that we greatly appreciate,” explains Inger Surrow.
Visions at Holmstrupgård
“Holmstrupgård – social psychiatry for young people” in Brabrand in the Central Denmark Region is an educational and environmental therapeutic residential care unit for young people between the ages of 14 and 23 with psychiatric disorders and physical handicaps. Ronny Buelund hopes that MoMo will be able to cope with even more tasks at Holmstrupgård.
“Right now we just have to get started and to get to know the system, but we can already see there are good interfaces to other systems that we use. This means MoMo can ‘talk’ to systems we’re already familiar with and use in our work. Integration with other platforms will be helpful in our day-to-day pedagogical efforts,” he explains.
