XML-MTF allows considerable operational knowledge captured in MTFs to be opened up to the range of XML tools and capabilities.

Delegates are introduced to the requirement for concept and detail of the XML-MTF mapping specification and associated XML-MTF schema derivation procedures provided by NATO to describe to a common method of translating MTF messages to, and from, the equivalent XML representation.
