US Army expands use of SitaWare

Jane's International Defence Review report on the US Army's decision to broaden its use of the SitaWare C4I software suite. The US Army's Common Operating Environment (COE), which uses SitaWare Headquarters in the Command Post CE, will now include the use of SitaWare Frontline in the Mounted Computing Environment (MCE).

Giles Ebbutt, C4ISR editor for Jane's International Defence Review, reports the US Army's decision to extend the use of SitaWare in the COE with SitaWare Frontline providing the backbone of it's developing MCE.

The US Army’s Mission Command office, part of the Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications - Tactical (PEO C3-T), purchased enterprise-wide licenses for SitaWare in early 2017 as a result of a conscious effort to switch to commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions wherever possible. This was initially to provide the common architecture in the CP CE, using SitaWare HQ. The latest development will now use SitaWare Frontline to achieve the same in the MCE.
