Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality introduces new IT era for senior citizen services

Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality has chosen a new IT supplier for its health and elderly care services, with the introduction of Systematic’s Columna Cura this spring. The new IT system will help to ensure better IT support and more efficient workflows, and thereby more time for citizens.

Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality will start 2023 with a new documentation system for the elderly and the healthcare sector. The organisation has chosen Systematic’s electronic care record, Columna Cura, which will make work easier for employees and ensure quick access to relevant information about the municipality's citizens. The implementation will be completed by the middle of this year.

"Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality will get a complete solution that eases the workload for employees within the elderly and health care areas. The system makes it easier for staff to find the information they need, freeing up time to focus on the individual citizen. Columna Cura promotes better understanding and digital collaboration throughout the municipality, and this is in line with Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality's objective to strengthen continuity in home care and ensure that it is the same care team that helps citizens,” says Henrik Rosenberg Rasmussen, Account Director in Healthcare at Systematic.

Significant step towards higher quality of care

With Columna Cura, Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality will take a major step forward in improving continuity within home care, and expectations for the solution are high.
The new system is designed to be user-friendly and accessible via tablet and smartphone devices , making it easier for staff to access relevant information and document their work.

"We have high expectations for the roll-out of Cura in the municipality. We are looking forward to a user-friendly system that is designed for tablets and smartphones, thereby contributing to ensure that staff's time is predominantly spent on citizen-oriented care task, and as little as possible on finding relevant information and on documenting," says Charlotte Aagaard, Centre Manager for Health and Care in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality.

The new system will give staff better tools to support citizens and streamline work processes for staff to free up more time to focus on providing quality care to citizens. The new system is also an important tool to ensuring continuity among staff and recognisability for the citizen. With the new system in place, the municipality is well on its way to achieving its goal of providing better and more efficient care to those who need it most.
