Systematic on digital push in the Finnish healthcare sector
More and more Finnish hospitals use Systematic’s healthcare sector solutions. This results in both optimism and bustle for our healthcare team in Tampere, Finland - they are now looking for new colleagues.
In October, the Systematic team in Tampere, Finland reached a milestone, when the fifth Finnish hospital began using the software system Columna Flow. The system helps manage patient flow and handle porter and service logistics. With the Päijät-Häme Wellbeing Services County as the newest member of Club Columna, Systematic is really making its mark on the digitalisation of the Finnish healthcare sector.
Since Päijät-Häme hit the user list, 770.000 Finnish citizens are now serviced by hospitals using Columna Flow.
“We got great feedback from the system users. They are excited about how well our standard software products can be configured to fit their reality, and they now have a better situational overview and more efficient workflows with Columna Flow at hand,” says Timo A. Rantanen, who runs Systematic’s Healthcare activities in Finland.
It is quite a motivating factor for him and his colleagues to see how the solutions make a significant difference in the healthcare personnel’s daily work and in Finnish healthcare.
“Clinicians experience better coordination and have more time for the patients, now that they can access the patients’ course of treatment via an app. Porters and cleaning staff report that they save time and steps because they can now reach for their pocket to see their tasks on a smartphone,” explains Timo.
Exciting prospects
According to him, it is alpha and omega to have user-friendly software that heightens the efficiency and job satisfaction of the personnel at a time where the healthcare sector is running fast to keep up.
“We have to use our resources in the best possible way. Finland is in the middle of a huge healthcare reform, and digitalization is the key enabler of that,” says Timo.
Therefore, it is an exciting time at the Tampere office. The healthcare team has several irons in the fire, and they approach their work ambitiously and autonomously.
“We work like a start-up headed for a major breakthrough in the Finnish healthcare market, focusing on Columna Flow solutions. At the same time, since we are part of a big international company, we have a mature product portfolio, well-proven processes, and solid references to back us up. It is definitely an advantage that our healthcare software has been successfully implemented in a long list of countries including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, the Netherlands, and Australia,” Timo says.
Due to their success in the Finnish market, Timo’s team is looking for a new colleague to help the customers implement and use Columna Flow at the hospitals.
“We have a real opportunity to make a positive difference for the Finnish healthcare sector, the people working there, and their patients. Therefore, we need a skilled colleague to focus on training and supporting the users, so they understand and take ownership of the solutions and their possibilities,” Timo tells.
He looks forward to welcoming a new Systemate aboard, so the team can continue the exciting digitalization journey in Finland’s healthcare sector.
