Systematic recruits two nurses in the race for the Norwegian municipalities

Drawing on experience from both clinical practice and the vendor side, Trine Sønstelien and Tonje Teigene Heyn will bring Systematic's proven electronic care records solution into the Norwegian care sector - adapted to Norwegian healthcare practice and local needs.

As part of Systematic's focus on municipal tenders in Norway, the company has appointed Trine Sønstelien as Domain Advisor and Tonje Teigene Heyn as Business Development Manager.

Trine brings first-hand knowledge of electronic care records systems from nursing practice in both Norway and Denmark, while Tonje has experience in municipal implementation and stakeholder engagement from the vendor side in Norway. Together, they address what most often makes or breaks a system transition: whether the solution fits the workflow, and whether it takes root in the organisation.

Tonje Teigene Heyn trained as a nurse and worked in health and care services before moving to the vendor's side. At health technology company Dignio, she was part of rolling out remote patient monitoring across municipalities nationwide. She joins Systematic from a role as sales and product specialist at Getinge, where she held national responsibility for their patient flow system in both municipalities and hospitals in Norway.

"Introducing a new electronic care records system is not just an IT project, but a major organisational change that happens while services are running at full capacity. Close collaboration with the people who will actually use the solution is therefore essential. Implementation only succeeds when leadership is clear, professional communities are involved, and staff receive the training they need. That's what creates genuine ownership," says Tonje Teigene Heyn.

Tonje will play a central role in ensuring the records solution is firmly embedded in municipalities, that it meets Norwegian legislation and national guidelines, and above all that it creates real value for those who use it every day.

Bridging a Danish solution and Norwegian needs

Trine Sønstelien brings experience from both community home nursing and hospital settings in Norway and Denmark — in Bodø, Trondheim and Aarhus. She has worked with a range of electronic care records systems and has in-depth knowledge of clinical workflows and documentation requirements in both the Norwegian and Danish healthcare systems.

She will now draw on that experience to ensure that Systematic's records solution, Cura, supports Norwegian healthcare practice, safe patient pathways and efficient workflows for clinical staff.

"I've worked with records systems that weren't intuitive and created extra work through double documentation. That's exactly the kind of problem we need to avoid. With Cura, you're presented with the relevant actions and choices for wherever you are in the record, and data you enter is reused across the system. My job is now to tailor the solution to local needs, so it frees up time for the people using it," says Trine Sønstelien.

Brian Fisker, Vice President at Systematic Healthcare, sees the appointments as a significant asset for Systematic's Norwegian operation.

"With Trine and Tonje on board, we now have a strong Norwegian team covering the full journey - from adapting the solution to embedding it in municipalities. We remain convinced that we can make a real difference for municipalities, where the care sector is under pressure from a growing elderly population and an increasing need for staff. Our work on features such as speech recognition and seamless integration with other systems has proven to be a major strength in building an efficient care sector - one where staff also feel they have a say in how their working day is shaped," says Brian Fisker.

Trine Sønstelien took up her position on 1 February, and Tonje Teigene Heyn joined on 1 May.
