Systematic features in the defence press
Media coverage includes the German Armed Forces selection of SitaWare Frontline for VJTF 2023 and the maritime capability developments in SitaWare Headquarters.
The Bundeswehr’s news service reported (in German) on the Army’s digitisation plans, noting the service’s selection of SitaWare Frontline for the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force 2023. The 37th Panzergrenadier Brigade – as the lead component of VJTF 2023 – will be the first to receive the software and will equip a range of vehicles with the system.
Jane’s International Defence Review reported on the maritime add-on features that will be available in the SitaWare Headquarters 6.10 release. Among the new features are auto-track correlation, S-63 chart support, and a closest point of approach function. The article also notes the Royal Danish Navy’s use of SitaWare Headquarters as a planning tool in its role as the lead of Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG1).
