QUMEA joins Columna Flow partner ecosystem
Swiss healthtech specialist QUMEA is the latest technology partner to be featured on the Columna Flow partner page – bringing privacy-preserving patient mobility monitoring into the hospital workflow.
QUMEA's radar sensors detect falls, immobility and unusual movement in patient rooms – without cameras or wearables. In acute care, hospitals using QUMEA have reported an average 74% reduction in falls. The technology is in active use across more than 150 institutions in Europe today, with particular strength in geriatric and acute settings where fall risk and night-time monitoring are constant pressures on care teams.
The integration with Columna Flow Clinical Tasking will route that real-time insight directly into the clinical workflows nursing teams already use, so the right alert reaches the right clinician at the right moment – with patient context attached. The aim is stronger early warning for high-risk patients, less unnecessary night-time disruption for staff, and more time at the bedside.
Value for existing Columna Flow customers
For hospitals already running Columna Flow, partnerships like this matter because they extend what's possible without rebuilding what's already in place. Some of our customers are already using QUMEA's mobility monitoring as a standalone solution alongside Columna Flow – the integration brings that capability directly into the workflows their teams use every day, without changing vendors or starting over.
That's the practical value of an open platform: capability added incrementally, on the customer's terms.
Built on open standards
Hospitals run on dozens of systems. Columna Flow is built on open international standards – HL7 FHIR, GS1 and REST – so hospitals can connect best-of-breed solutions without vendor lock-in, and so specialist providers can integrate without costly custom builds. Openness, interoperability and freedom of choice are the basis on which we partner.
QUMEA joins Ward 24/7 and Lyngsoe Systems as a recommended partner in the Columna Flow ecosystem. If you want to learn more about the partners in the ecosystem, please visit our Columna Flow technology and integration partner page. More partnerships are already in place behind the scenes, and we look froward to sharing more on the page in the coming months.
